Writing a Thank you Letter

A thank you letter is one of the easiest and enjoyable letters to write. I have to admit it brings more pleasure to write a thank you letter than just a formal one. It is all about making someone else happy and satisfied.
If it comes to deciding weather to write a thank you letter at all, the answer is, definitely, yes! The secret benefit of a thank you letter is that it improves the frequency and quality of the performance you are thanking for. So, please, bother to spend some time writing it. However, a sincere letter would look better.
Writing a thank you letter after an employment interview is required. Please do bother to write it as soon as possible after your interview (within 24 hours). Even if you do not want this job, you never know what the future holds for you, so, do not burn the bridges.
You can write a simple, short thank you letter. It is always better to do it later than never. The recipients will enjoy your thanks anyway.
First, start with salutation. Usually, thank you letters are written in cursive. Thank the recipient for the gift or a favor, depending on situation. If we are talking about thanking to a friend for a gift, we would want to include the appropriateness of the gift: “you have always understood my taste…”
Finish your thank you letter with something like: “With thanks, John”
It is important to mention that depending on the level of appreciation, sending the flowers, chocolates or invitation to dinner can be possible.
To conclude, I have to say: do not hesitate to write thank you letters. They might not be necessary, but it will not harm you anyway.
